R.I.P. Michael Jackson 1958-2009

Today the world lost an enigmatic, troubled legend the likes of which the music industry will most likely never see again. Michael Jackson’s ever changing appearance from his skin color to the ever morphing construct of his face, his unusual public behavior and his ebullient concerts will forever be linked to the legend of the King of Pop. It is unfortunate that his legacy will be forever tarnished by insidious acts he may or may not have committed against innocent children. With that shadow of a doubt today I will jam to some Michael Jackson tunes and remember how I begged my mom for a Thriller jacket to no avail and how my five year-old self use to walk around the house doing my best to moonwalk and mimic Jackson’s gyrations.
