Micheal Bay, a director who is known more for blowing shit up than his keen directorial eye, delivered some Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen spoiler action in a recent interview with MTV. In the interview Bay reveals that he killed off Arcee in the second installment of the Transformers franchise simply because he didn’t like her.
“You know what? I didn’t like Arcee,” Bay told MTV. “So I kill her later, all right?”
Bay’s disdain for the character was so great that he didn’t even bother making the autobot’s death memorable or emotional.
“This is just a ‘get it out and get it over with’ kind of death,” Mr. Bay said.
According to the filmmaker the death is sudden and “isn’t sad” at all. The MTV reporter even recounts Bay grinning as he discusses the death of the pink motorcycle.
Bay also denied the USA Today’s report that Arcee show up in the film as the motorcycle that Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) rides.
“No,” Bay said. ”She has nothing to do with Megan.”
I am not the biggest fan of Arcee but it seems just a bit disrespectful to fans of the lady bot to act so flippant about her demise.
